Weekend Race Recap. MINGO, WVMBA, BATTENKILL

April 20th, 2009 by xsteevox | Filed under News, Results

Saturday:
Brad and Jason did the Leesburg Bakers Dozen. Because a 12 hour race is just 1 hour too short. Results should be posted to BikeReg this week.

Patty Buerkle nabbed a 10th place in a stacked field of Pro women in Saturday’s Battenkill Roubaix.

Steevo Cummings (yeah Ill talk in 3rd person) rolled in 22nd in Saturday’s Pro/1 race at Battenkill.

Sunday:
Most Mingo Results are posted
It seems that the dark horse, Adam Anderson rode away with the win, leaving Kanter and Babik questioning their “overall series champion” race math.

Results for the Big Bear WVMBA race have been posted. Notice Gunnar registering (much like WVRR#1) with the big boys and not as a master. Impressive. Lots of Pittsburgh names in the results that chose the off road over Mingo.

Steevo Cummings (again) and John Rowley lined up with the real deal in Sunday’s Tour of the Battenkill Pro Men’s Invitational. They raced together on a composite team for Haymarket Bicycles. 124 miles, 10,000 feet of climbing, 165 starters, 62 finishers – none of which are from Pittsburgh. The first 62 miles averaged between 25 and 26mph.
