Good news! The second Riverview Grand Prix is scheduled for Sunday June 7th. The race has expanded to include Women and Cat 1’s. Hopefully we can break the previous attendance record.

Starting with those who probably drove the furthest.
A couple of guys who like the long races (and long drives) took it to Richmond VA for the Camp Hilbert Race Series opener.
XXC Enduro (5 Hour) Class:
-Bradley Schmalzer (Team Bikeman.com/Twin Six/Kenda) 3rd – 8 laps, 4:43:51
-Jason Mahokey (Salsa Cycles/Pro Bikes/Twin Six), 9th – 8 laps, 5:18:49
Mingo Creek
Neo Pro Ryan Mele drove from Richmond to Pittsburgh to take the second Mingo Creek Race. Results are posted. It looks like the women’s overall is going to be contested if everybody shows up for the 3rd race.
The Philadelphia 2 Day Cycling Classic drew out lots of Pittsburghers. 35 mph winds on Saturday did not stop some people.
- Craig Merrits of CAT racing took high miles of weekend, lining up for the 3/4 (and placing top 10) as well as the 1/2/3.
-Eric Lundgren of Iron City Bikes just missed the top ten Saturday with an 11th place in the 3/4 race.
-Jared Babik of IRMC took 4th overall in the P/1/2, beating out former Pittsburgher John Minturn, who took 5th.
In the collegiate Army race, UPITT made the trip to Army. Results are posted. Strongman Bob Stumpf flatted during the uphill time trial and still finished only 2 minutes off of the A group leader.
